Pixiegurl's Story
Hello everyone! My name is Pixiegurl, and I want to share with you how Disabled United has changed my life. Gibbo and I met in the main chatroom in February of 2007. When I joined DU I was having a lot of issuesin my personal life. I was sharing this in the room and the chatters were giving me much needed support.

One day in April Gibbo sent me a private message. We found that we
enjoyed each other’s company. We exchanged messengers and started chatting everyday. He was there for me through all of the personal things
I was going though, and he became a very close friend. As time went on I realized that I wanted to be more, but I waited for him to show interest in the same thing.

Finally on April 25, 2007 he asked me to be his girlfriend. I thought
this was the best day of my life! I was so very wrong. The best day by
far was August 24th because I got to meet him!! We spend 3 wonderful days together! He is the most amazing man I have ever known. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. He is my best friend!

Gibbo's Story
Hello everyone! My name is Gibbo. I would also like to share how Disabled United has brought me the happiness I have in my life right now. I’ve been a member of DU for a few years now but never really used the chat room all that much. I exchanged the odd e-mail with people on the site, but nothing became of them and the communications mostly fizzled out. After getting bored of some other chat rooms I was using, I decided to come back to DU and give it another try in late 2006/early 2007.

In February 2007 I met Fairy and through her and from spending more and more time in the room I came across Pixiegurl. She seemed like a really nice girl and one day after a comment she made in the room I decided to PM her with a humorous reply. Well I can honestly say, this is one of the best things I’ve ever done.

When we first met Pixiegurl was coming out of a bad relationship, so
although I was getting to like her more and more the more time we spent together, I didn¢t want to rush things incase it wasn¢t what she wanted and incase I scared her off.

In April, not being able to fight my feelings anymore and knowing it was what Pixiegurl wanted too, I decided to ask her to be my girlfriend and she said yes. Like Pixiegurl, this was also the happiest day of my life. Then in May, Fairy invited me to a music festival she was going to in Bradford with some friends. She also invited Pixiegurl to the same festival, so August 24th 2007 was the new best day in my life when I finally got to meet Pixiegurl in the flesh. She was everything I wanted and more. She is kind, caring, funny, sweet, sensitive, honest and beautiful inside and out. As Pixiegurl has already said, we spent 3 wonderful days together, which I never wanted to end. It was so hard to have to let her go on the third day but we are looking into ways that will allow us to hopefully be together forever one day in the not too distant future.I want to spend the rest of my life with Pixiegurl too, she is my best friend and the best thing thats ever happened to me.

Gibbo and I are going to spend a week together in October. We¢re both really excited! I will have a chance to meet the rest of his family, and we plan to have our picture done. Look for them. We¢ll keep you posted on what we are doing.
