What are some ways a blind person can use the computer? I know that there is text to speech technology that can assist them but I was curious if there are other ways a blind person can "see" or "read" a monitor.

Re: for blind people
I read that there are PDAs that can actually read out appointments, telephone numbers, contacts and other details for a blind person. The company that made this specializes in resistive technology.

There is also something called a braille embosser that turn text files into hard copy braille.
